Dedicated to the fight for a more literate Maine, Maine Reads provides meaningful programs that celebrate Maine’s rich literacy heritage and encourage literacy and collaboration.

The Maine Festival of the Book returns to Portland April 9-11, 2010 with a full day of free programming at the Abromson Center at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday, April 10.
Maine Festival of the Book 2010 Schedule
Featured presenters at Opening Night on Friday, April 9, 2010 will be Tess Gerritsen and Anita Shreve. Tickets are required for this event and are limited. Tickets are $10 each in advance and $15 each at the door. To purchase tickets:

- by check, mail in a ticket order form
Please note: No tickets will be mailed out. Tickets are not refundable. Tickets will be held under your name and should be picked up at the registration table at the event. Doors open at 7 pm.
With the exception of Opening Night, events are free and unticketed.
Stay tuned for more details. In its three years of existence, the Maine Festival of the Book has featured more than 200 authors, including four Pulitzer Prize winners.
The Maine Festival of the Book 2009 was held last April in Portland at the Abromson Center, University of Southern Maine.
